Assignment Overview The goal of a Topic Exploration and Design (TED) assignment is derived from the business process reengineering methodology of continual process improvement using the As-is and To-Be design perspectives. In a continual process improvement initiative, it is essential to understand what an As-is/To-Be" is and how it is crucial to successful process improvement. Put simply, if you want to improve a business process, you first have to know its current state (As-is) and then you need to propose and assess the improved future state (To-Be"). The As-is process defines the present state of a business process in any given organization or structure.
