The company has been using a functional structure with 05 departments headed by Functional Managers: Marketing, Finance, HR, Production and Engineering. Assume that you have 04 projects currently on-going in the Production and Engineering depts: Project 1, Project 2, Project 3 and Project 4. (1) Draw the functional structure showing the departments and the projects. (2) Suppose that now you want to convert this structure to a Matrix structure. Recreate the structural design to show how the matrix would look like. (3) Do the same as above showing a Weak Matrix structure. (4) And also show how it would look in a Strong Matrix structure. (5) Assuming that now the company has decided to move to a Projectised structure. Draw it and show how it will be different.
