This assessment will require the student to make a selection of a company of their choice and to then analyse their 'continuous improvement processes. Students are therefore urged to ONLY select companies that are or have been involved in continuous improvement initiatives. A suggestion to students that are having difficulty in selecting a company, is to look into organisations such as Toyota, The Lego Group and Bell Laboratories. Question 1 Critically analyse the continuous improvement initiatives of the company that you have selected and discuss the continuous improvement initiatives in detail. Your discussion should analyse each of the below aspects: . What was the purpose of establishing continuous improvement initiatives? What were the continuous improvement processes that the company had adopted and how did it affect operations? Who were the key roleplayers in the development and implementation of this initiative? In your view was this endeavour a success or a failure? . You are required to substantiate each of your answers and compose your discussion into a meaningful and engaging analysis of the continuous improvement initiatives within the respective company.
