The main advantage of this method is that this can easily be determined in comparison to the traits and thus the evaluation will be more effective. However, the disadvantage of this method is that we can specify where the behavior is having some sort of has job relatedness or not. Thus finding the behaviors that are related to the job is not an easy task
Result appraisal In this methods the performance of the individual is evaluated on the basis of the outcomes or the results obtained by her. The advantage of this method is that it can easily be compared with the target and thus the measuring of the performance is quite easy. However, the difficulty with this issue is that the other important aspects of the job such as the process and the means used for the accomplishment of the results are not taken into consideration.
If I were the manager, I would go for the behavioral appraisal as it is important for any employee to show those behaviors which are closely related to the successful accomplishment of the job responsibilities
