Trait evaluation$=$ It has been found that there are some sort of traits that are important to evaluate the performance of the individual on a certain job for instance leadership, inquisitiveness, conscientiousness are important traits for the appraisal of the employee. Thus this method is quite effective for the evaluation of the jobs for which some specific traits are important to be evaluated. This will make sure that the person has the required characteristics that can make her successful in that job.

On the other hand, the limitation of this evaluation is that in most of the cases, the traits are related to the physical appearance rather than traits related to the personality and thus the evaluators may not evaluate the candidate effectively

Behavioral appraisal$=$ The focus of this evaluation method is to determine what a person doe son a job. The main advantage of this method is that this can easily be determined in comparison to the traits and thus the evaluation will be more effective. However, the disadvantage of this method is that we can specify where the behavior is having some sort of has job relatedness or not. Thus finding the behaviors that are related to the job is not an easy task

Result appraisal$=$ In this methods the performance of the individual is evaluated on the basis of the outcomes or the results obtained by her. The advantage of this method is that it can easily be compared with the target and thus the measuring of the performance is quite easy. However, the difficulty with this issue is that the other important aspects of the job such as the process and the means used for the accomplishment of the results are not taken into consideration.

If I were the manager, I would go for the behavioral appraisal as it is important for any employee to show those behaviors which are closely related to the successful accomplishment of the job responsibilities
