The the ories covered in chapter two that I found most useful were Theory X and The ory Y. The the ories are based on the attitude of employees, showing the two sides that you get in the workforce. The determining factor of the attitude refle cts the manager if the manger is upbeat then typically the employees will feed off the positive energy of management. Versus having a manger who la cks a positive attitude who is always negative and pointing out all the bad the employees do. It is just a trickling affect that goes from management to employees either resulting in flourishing or stagnant behavior. The behavior can make or break a business not allowing it to reach its full potential due to the attitude of the mangers and employees. Theory X represents the negative view of workers who lack a mbition, hate their job, and are irresponsible. In every workforce there are always people who regret the situation they are but they can only hold themselves responsible. Know one made them apply for the job, they are just there to earn a wage not for a genuine passion to do the job to the best of their capabilities. These pe ople are very detrimental to the company and their energy be comes contagious to others. Tend to be followers and never lead and rely on others instructions on completing task. Theory Y is quite the opposite they are self-motivated, accept responsibility and very optimis tic. These kinds of employees take charge, get task completed in a timely fashion and efficiently. They allow the business to run smoothly because of how dedicated they are to their w ork. This energy can also spre ad to other employees, and they can begin to develop the attitude of they get to work versus they have to work. At the end of the day it is all about perspective and the attitude you have going into the situation. less Dicussion Board 2 - Payne Elkins v Phen - Sposted Sep 14, 2022 4:27 PM In Subscribe I think one of the most inportant theories a manager must understand is the behavorial viewpoint of management. I think this is really inportant for a manager to know, so they can fully understand their workers. This is very inportant becauase everybody has different behaviors and ways that motivate them more than others. By learning how each indvidual gets motviavted best, will the most potential out of each worker. This will maximize their work potential, and it will make the company and manger better. That is why I think this theory is so inportant for a manager to understand. Another Theory that I strongly suggest to managers would be the operations managment theory. I think this theory is so inportant so that things get shipped where there suppose too and that they are on time. This comes from a manager overseeing his workers, so they know that this is happening. If products are not shipped to the right place at the right time, it looks bad on the company and the manager. That is why I think this theory is really inportant to the company's success
