Two samples were obtained and submitted for testing. The first sample was found in the back-passenger seat of Mr. Alexander Rios (1A) on the lower right corner of the seat cushion. A second sample (2A) was collected on the same seat, on the cushion. Various techniques were performed in order to determine the content of the samples found. These included: Phenolphthalein, Acid Phosphatase, Hematrace cards, Polymerase Chain Reaction, and Genotyping using STR results from a Qiagen Identifiler Kit.
