Unit $6$ Activity: Self$-$Reflection Feedback

Go to the Insights Forum and access and read the post about mindset. That post shared an introduction to Growth Mindset and Fixed Mindset. How we choose to use

feedback is based on our nindset. The research showed that real learning occurs when we have a growth mindset $($Dweck$,2006).$ Dweck's research indicated that:

People with a fixed mindset were only interested when the feedback reflected on their ability. Their brain waves showed them paying close attention when they were told

whether their answers were right or wrong. $...$ Only people with a growth mindset paid close attention to information that could stretch their knowledge. Only for them was

learning a priority $($p$.18).$

For this week's self$-$reflection, you are being asked to use a growth mindset that is focused on learning and to reflect on the feedback you have received during the Term and

how you have incorporated that feedback into your work. Complete the following steps:

Evaluate Feedback: For yourself $($not to be posted$),$ summarize the feedback you personally received each week in response to your discussions and assignments.

Summarize feedback that has been shared with the class in the announcements. This activity should result in a list of five or more specific items.

Assess Use of Feedback: For yourself $($not to be posted$),$ use the feedback items on your list and review how you incorporated the feedback into your work from week to

week. For example, did you look at feedback each week? Did you make changes or improvements each week guided by feedback? Did you receive the same or similar

feedback from week to week? Did you make an action plan for yourself based on the feedback received? Ask yourself other questions about how you used feedback.
