Use MS Project, or for Apple Operating System, the trial version of Project Plan $365$ for Mac.

Part $1$: Identify a Project $(25$ Points$)$

You will be using MS Project $($or if you have a MAC, Project Plan $365)$ to create a detailed project plan. Select a project which is either work related or personal related.

Project Specifics

$-$Your project must be $$complex$,$ which is defined as follows:

$-$Requires at least two months to complete $(5$ points$)$

$-$Has at least three Summary Tasks $(5$ points$)$

$-$Has at least $20$subtasks$.$ These at least $20$ subtasks are to be $$spread out$$ among the

Summary Tasks. $(10$ points$)$

$-$Some of the Subtasks start dates must be identified in a $$non$-$linear$$ dependency

manner. $(5$ points$)$

If you are unsure of the difference between linear and non$-$linear, watch the Chapter $4$ videos again, with emphasis on identifying predecessors. Note how the start dates for many subtasks are not dependent upon the completion of the immediate predecessor. This is an example of a non$-$linear project.

Part $2$: Create a Preliminary Schedule $(25$ Points$)$

Utilize the automatic task scheduling feature of MS Project $2016.(5$ points$).$ This means all $$stick pins$$ should be removed from the project plan. Each tasks place should utilize automatic scheduling, which looks like this:

$-$Identify the completion time required for each subtask. All subtasks should $$add up to$$ their respective summary task totals. $(10$ points$)$

$-$Identify the appropriate person resource for competing each task. Note: Each subtask must have a person resource assigned to it$.(10$ points$)$

Part $3$: Identify the Critical Path $(10$ Points$)$

$-$Create a report of the critical path and save it to your computing device.
