Question: Use the data provided to perform a single factor ANOVA in R. Data description: This data describes the results of a herbicide spray drift trial

Use the data provided to perform a single factor ANOVA in R.

Data description: This data describes the results of a herbicide spray drift trial that examined the effect of boom height (measured as height above plant canopy in cm) influenced the amount of spray drift (measured as % loss into the atmosphere). The expectation was that a greater the distance between the boom, and the plant canopy, would result in higher the loss via drift. This was a was a completely randomized design with each test strip randomly receiving one of three boom height treatments.

*** This data does not initially meet model assumptions (you still need to assess them and state why). Apply a square root transformation to the dependent variable, then re-assess if model assumptions have been met, and proceed accordingly***

In your assignment submission, you must provide the following information in a clear and organized manner:

2. Your null and alternate hypothesis stated in the context of the study

3. The untransformed mean, standard deviation, standard error, 95% CI, and sample size for the sample data (per treatment level)

4. Appropriate boxplots of the sample data

5. Appropriate residual plots

6. Appropriate Q-Q plots

7. A statement on whether the sample data meet each of the assumptions listed in section 1, and why you drew this conclusion o Your statement should cover both before and after the transformation has been applied.

8. (And if the data meets the assumptions) The f ratio, degrees of freedom, and p value ( = 0.05) obtained by the test as part of a sentence interpreting the results of the analysis

9. (And if there is a significant result) An appropriate plot with an informative figure caption that you would include if writing a results section for the study
