Creating a Training method is a several step process that will require adequate analysis of the correct factors impacting a workforce. This systematic approach should assess the entire organization and how each section performs their duties as well as how they interact amongst each other. This analysis will begin with a thorough assessment of how well each section seems to be performing, and what their feedback is regarding their workplace. I will then use this feedback to develop a needs assessment which will contribute to the training curriculum I design. Then I will build a program evaluation method to ensure that the organization continuously self-assess and maintains its proficiency. This will ensure that the organization does not slip up on the standards it should have and promotes continuous improvement. The first step to creating a comprehensive needs assessment is by analyzing the skills and competencies of each worker and searching for gaps between their level of proficiency and the desired capability of each section. During this process I will need to learn as much as I can about each section within a reasonable amount of time, I believe a great place to start is by assessing the organizations process roadmap so that I have a foundation to assess from. I will use this roadmap to add all functions and processes to a clearly defined learning curriculum and will be used to define and support organizational goals. These functions and processes must be specific, tangible, and measurable. I will then create an assessment tool used to measure the successful training gained from this learning curriculum. This assessment tool will be adequately integrated into a training program than enables employees to focus primarily on what they need to know. I will also design a system meant to enable senior employees can improve the training methods based on the successful completion of the program, or being trained directly if that approach seems to make more sense. Finally, I will also create a satisfaction survey for employees to give feedback including suggested improvements or critics. Some challenges the workplace may encounter are employees being skeptical to anything new, anxiety due to a learning curve, temporary operational disruption, some employees may be resistant to change, and there is likely going to be a challenge with appropriately allocating the right resources based on the scheduling and staffing requirements of each section. When someone is skeptical of anything new, the worst thing is for them not to be sure if it is going to become reality or fail like some other program they may have observed. To counter this I will inspire a great amount of confidence by introducing myself as the program manager expert and experienced program improvement professional that I am and tell them about.
