Using a crisis with which you are familiar (through personal experience or research)-analyze the crisis using two methods:

1) The traditional Four Stages of Emergency Management (Hanus article)

AND

2) Either the Mitroff or Fink model (Fink and Mitroff model slide)

By analyze, I mean break down what specifically happened (or did not happen) in each of the four stages of the Traditional model (Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, Recovery for traditional) AND the four or five stages in Fink or Mitroff's model (pick one of the two). By breaking it down and showing the flow through the model, you are showing the progression of the crisis through the stages.

You may list items in a bulleted list under each header, draw the model in a graphic way, or you may write a short paragraph for each. Whatever you think organizes the material the best.

Do additional research and use assigned readings to support your assignment. You should have at least three different sources to support this assignment. Be sure to cite sources using APA style and list full references at the end.
