Choose any company you wish. It could be a private business, trade on the Dow Jones Industrial
Question:
Choose any company you wish. It could be a private business, trade on the Dow Jones Industrial Exchange or an Emerging Exchange, say, in South America, etc. Using available financial data, please provide an analysis of the financial health of any company at your choosing. Using your knowledge of the ratios discussed in class (including class handouts) as a basis, indicate whether the company is well positioned for growth and explain why. Conversely, you may conclude that the company of choice is exposed to various risks, and if so, explain (including how the conclusions are reflected in the various ratios). How is the company's liquidity? Is it profitable? If it is public, what about its EPS and other market performance metrics? Would you, for example, provide a major loan to a large scale cruise ship company, say, Carnival based on your analysis of its current financial health? Would this be a risky investment? Why? The assignment should not be more than 10 pages (though it is not necessarily required to be near 10 pages nor are you restricted from providing additional pages) but please include an executive summary, the backup for the ratios (including the calculations), conclusion and appendix (providing the financial statements which the ratios were based on).
