In this homework, you will simulate simple routing protocols in WSN, i.e., the comparison of flooding with any other routing protocol you desire. For example, this can be gossiping protocol where you choose a single relay node. You will compare the performances in terms of the following metrics for varying number of nodes in the WSN: (a) Energy consumption of the whole network (b) The delay for the event to reach to the sink (c) The total number of packets reaching to the sink in each second You may choose any environment such as MATLAB, TOSSIM, ns-3 etc. It is expected to observe some changes in the performance metrics as you change the routing protocol while you are increasing the number of nodes in the network. You need to choose some models for the energy consumption in each transmission, the channels between the nodes etc. Any model is acceptable as long as you observe differences in the performances of different routing protocols
