  • Using the current ADDIE model, please discuss what you see as the major advantages and disadvantages of using this type of design system.
  • Below there are five other commonly accepted instructional design models. Select two and then compare and contrast the similarities and differences with the ADDIE model.
Assure Instructional Design Model

Kemp Design Model
The Kirkpatrick Model
Backward Design and Backward Course Design Model
The Gerlach and Ely Design Model
This is what I thought:
Addie and also DIck and Carey, and Kemp all are super similar in their format. While they may use different words the plan in all three is similar. Step one understand what is being asked for the project, and prepare all the information you can. Step two find the most effective way to convey the information. Step 3 role out training. Step 4 review what went well and what didn't. Step 5 improves where the training lacked proper effectiveness. Step 6 train again. Step 7 reviews effectiveness. And continue until the most effective method is developed. At least that's what I got out of the information that I read. Many companies that I have worked for have used a variety of acronyms to develop training and sales strategies. Most follow a basic outline of Addie but they do not explain that is what they are doing. I feel that is an effective training method overall.
