Using the Fluidsim simulation package draw the following circuit
A pushbutton S1 actuates a relay K1. The relay K1 contacts actuate solenoid Y1in a 5/2 way double-solenoid valve which in turn cause a piston in a double-acting cylinder to move forward. As the piston moves forward it breaks contact with roller-limit switch S2 which is activated only when the piston is fully retracted. K1 contacts also actuate a light indicating the piston is moving forward.
When the piston is full extended it hits a roller-limit switch S3 which actuates relay K2. Relay K2 contacts actuate solenoid Y2 in the 5/2 way valve which causes the piston to retract. K2 contacts actuate another light to indicate the piston is retracting.
The piston reciprocates continuously if S1 is held actuated.
Make sure your circuit is functional by running the simulation function.
