  1. Goal: Increase utilization of stress management coping techniques among club sports student athletes.
    1. Process Objective: At the beginning of the workshop, all participants will complete a pretest identifying current knowledge of positive stress coping techniques.
    2. Process Objective: Immediately following the workshop, all participants will complete a posttest identifying assessing their ability to list least three positive stress coping techniques.
    3. Process Objective: By November 30th, 2018, at least 50% of participants will complete a follow up survey.
    4. Impact Objective: By the end of the hour-long workshop, 75% of the respondents will be able to list at least three positive stress coping techniques as measured by an immediate posttest.
    5. Outcome Objective: By November 30th, 2018, at least 50% of respondents will implement at least one stress coping skill they learned at the workshop as measured by the follow up survey.
  2. Goal: Increase utilization of time management skills among club sports student athletes.
    1. Process Objective: At the beginning of the workshop, all participants will complete a pretest to assess current knowledge of time management techniques.
    2. Process Objective: Immediately following the workshop, all participants will complete a posttest identifying their ability to list at least three time management techniques.
    3. Process Objective: By November 30th, 2018, at least 50% of participants will complete a follow up survey.
    4. Impact Objective: By the end of the hour-long workshop, 75% of the respondents will be able to list at least three time management techniques as measured by an immediate posttest.
    5. Outcome Objective: By November 30th, 2018, at least 50% of respondents will implement at least one time management skill they learned at the workshop as measured by the follow up survey.

Note that program outcomes should be tied directly to the objectives. Process objectives tend to describe short-range outcomes. Impact objectives tend to describe medium-range outcomes, and outcome objectives tend to describe long-range outcomes.

The program utilized provided space at the Layhaye Ice Center for the workshop. All print materials (pretest, posttest, etc.) were provided by the Department of Public and Community Health at Liberty University. The workshop utilized a PowerPoint presentation created by HLTH 632 residential MPH students and supervised by a faculty member. Students also made stress balls out of balloons and flour to give to program participants.

To plan the program, student conducted a stakeholder interview with the Assistant Director of Academic Advancement for Club Sports and created the workshop using best practices identified through research. The evaluation activities included administering pretests, posttests, a follow-up survey, and stakeholder feedback interview. Data were analyzed and a report of findings provided to the stakeholder.
