Question: Using Visio (available free from Microsoft Imagine), ERD Plus, or any other diagramming tool that creates ERDs, create a conceptual ERD (entities and relationships only)
Using Visio (available free from Microsoft Imagine), ERD Plus, or any other diagramming tool that creates ERDs, create a conceptual ERD (entities and relationships only) that models a simplified checking account:
- A checking account is owned by a single owner
- An owner can have more than one checking account
- Every check is written against a single checking account
- A checking account can have many checks
- A check is made to a single payee
- Many checks can be written to a payee
- An owner has many payees
- Every payee belongs to a single owner
- Every deposit is made against a single checking account
- A checking account can have many deposits
Don't worry about joint owners, transfers, overdrafts or fees
Be sure to indicate cardinality, using Crow's Foot notation
Copy your ERD as it exists without any attributes into a Word or Writer file.

Add a primary key (following our naming standards) to each entity of the ERD created in Part 1. Add foreign keys, as indicated by the relationships. (The primary key of "the one" becomes a foreign key in "the many". )
Add any other fields that are required into their appropriate tables. There will be two ERDs: one without attributes and one with attributes.
