Write Your Vision Statement (individual graded assignment)

Purpose. To link your values to your vision of the future, and how it involves and impacts your stakeholders, including your team members, significant others, co-workers, supervisors, and others.

Task to help develop vision statement:

1 a). Consider the following questions to help prepare you for writing your vision statement. 1. What are my core values? 2. What am I passionate about? 3. Do I live to work or work to live? 4. What work do I find meaningful and engaging? 5. What do I find important at work and in my organization? 6. What is my dream about my work/career; what do I hope to accomplish? 7. What will my work future look like if I remain excited and engaged? 8. What does my ideal of a work organization look like? 9. How do I want to be remembered? 10. How will my choices impact my co-workers, employees, customers, and other stakeholders?

1 b). Thoughtfully consider the above questions, then write your Vision Statement. It should be carefully constructed to clearly articulate your vision; make every word count! It can be as short as one sentence or as long as one paragraph, but usually between 1-2 sentences. It should be future focused and describe what you value, your reason for being, and how you envision the future for yourself and stakeholders. It should not be a list of your values or your career aspirations; it should be broader than that. However, make sure it is descriptive in nature and not too ambiguous.

It should be very short-1-2 sentences. Ideally, it should be 1 sentence. Note. Do not include parts A and B above, just your vision statement
