• voice-over PowerPoint presentation between 7 to 8 slides that explains, compares, and contrasts the arguments for why the Electoral College is still necessary for the presidential election process with the arguments for abolishing the Electoral College.
• Include a slide that explains the ruling in Chiafalo v. Washington regarding faithless electors.
• Form a conclusion, based upon your research, as to whether the Electoral College process should be used in future elections.
• The presentation should be persuasive and include speaker notes and embedded audio recordings explaining the content presented on each slide.
• Be sure to cite the sources you use to develop your presentation. The speaker notes are an excellent place to include your citations.
• Submit your presentation to the Dropbox no later than the end of this unit.

PowerPoint Format:

• Include appropriate title slide(s) for each section of your presentation.
• Use the slide notes section in the presentation to include information that follows your narration, being sure to follow the conventions of Standard English.
• Slide content should include brief points that identify the areas that will be addressed in the narration. Do not add too much content to each slide; the slides should only provide the highlights of what is being discussed in your narration.
• At least three in-text citations from either the course text or other scholarly sources should be included with brief points that were researched. The narration should fully explain the points.
• Cite all sources on a separate reference slide at the end of the PowerPoint and reference each source in the body of the presentation using 7^th edition and citation style.
• Identify the source of any pictures you use, being sure to cite them correctly using 7th edition in-text citations.

Narration Guidelines:

• Maintain a professional tone by summarizing observations and evaluations for each slide.
• Ensure that your presentation is highly ordered, logical, and unified.
• The oral presentation should also include a highly developed and sustained viewpoint and purpose.
• Words should be clearly enunciated and professional tone should be sustained throughout the presentation narration.
• Superior oral delivery techniques, including word choice and oral expressiveness, display exceptional content, organization, and style, while leading the audience to a dynamic and supported conclusion.
• Audio recording should be free of background noise and interruptions.
