Question:
WAMIO is an organisation that provides workers' compensation insurance to mining employees in Western Australia (WA). WAMIO currently has two office locations (Perth and Fremantle) that are 16km apart. The Perth office is a large open plan single floor space that houses 2000sqm of office space, whilst the Fremantle office is also a large single floor space that offers 2500sqm of office space; however, the Fremantle office has five (5) smaller individual rooms that are approximately 500sqm in size.
The organisation has expanded rapidly in the last 12 months due to a mining boom in WA, but unfortunately, the junior IT infrastructure team have tried to provide essential IT services, but the lack of experience has led them to try to expand the current network. As a result, the WAMIO offices have recently experienced many IT issues such as slow network speed, slow internet speeds, security issues, and problems with sharing documents. Therefore the CEO of WAMIO has approached you to provide a solution to improve the IT infrastructure situation at the two office locations.
