We are faced with difficult decisions and situations every day. However, the way we choose to react and/or solve those problems can determine the effectiveness of your team. When I think about the uncomfortable situations that I have been in throughout my career, I know that there were times that I could have handled them differently. Nonetheless, the lessons learned throughout this course have equipped me with the tools and skills to mitigate similar situations in the event they occur again. Moreover, I am now in charge of 32 active duty, civilians, and contractors which involves many different types of personalities. I am able to take a step back and look at the problems from different perspectives in effort to implement the best solution. This course have given me the ability to seek alternative solutions for many types of problems. The health and safety of all personnel is imperative because the most important asset within the Air Force are the people. Whether they are support services or on the front line, there would be no mission without our Airmen (Active, Civilian, and/or Contractors).
