Through our exploration of Nehemiah and the four function of management in Weeks 1-4, we discovered the importance of strategic management. We discovered, that for Nehemiah, it started with a plan. Having a plan in place allowed him to immediately seize the opportunity to act.

1. We had to review the devotional presented above.
2. We had to consider these thoughts:
   • Share what was learned about Nehemiah and his application of the four functions of management.
   • Discuss the merits of his actions. In doing so, discuss his successes and failures.
   • For his failures, what should he have done differently?
