We learned how to create a simple database using Microsoft Excel. Additionally, we learned how data is represented in a table with columns, fields, rows, and records. Lastly, we learned how to design a simple entity relationship diagram (ERD) for your selected companys database. In todays lecture, we discussed extracting methods and usage of the data in the database. Many companies have become dependent on information produced from their databases.
