Click on the link for the Living Case Analysis video as referenced above. You will see a listing of videos. Click on the video Living Case in Motivation Panel. The video
features Professor Kayla Slezak and the late Chief Martin Trombley. I recorded this presentation tin my faetoface MBA class a number of years ago. At that point in time,
Chief Trombley was an internationally known consultant in law enforcement and professor Slezak was at the beginning her academic career. Since this video was made
Professor Slezak has distinguished herself as the recipient of CMU's highest teaching award. Sadly, Chief Trombley passed away in
Even though it was recorded a few years ago, I use this panel discussion for a couple of reasons. First, on a personal note, the video serves as a tribute to my longtime friend
and colleague Martin Trombley, who represented the highest level of professionalism in policing. Second, as the focal point of the Living Case Analysis, the two speakers
present a stark contrast from one another.
The topic of the presentation is Motivation. Chief Trombley and Professor Slezak provide a presentation about their background and the principles they use to motivate others.
They then respond to students' questions. After viewing the presentation, you will need to address the specific questions as outlined in the attached Word file. These questions
are also reproduced on the course syllabus.
Answer the questions and use the format listed in the instructions. Save your work in a WORD doc and upload your Living Case Analysis project via the titled link. Only one
submission may be uploaded. Please make sure you have the document uploaded by end of Week You will know the paper has been successfully uploaded when you see
an exclamation point in your gradebook for that item.
