Week 5: Team Assignment - Team Traini..; R :reat Plan For this team assignment, your team is functioning as a group of managers from departments within the same organization and your respective employees are not getting along. Collaboration and cooperation between departments is deteriorating and it's beginning to impact operational performance negatively. You have put your departmental heads together and decided the best way to help rectify the situation is to hold an off-site retreat with your employees to get things back on track. Planning the Retreat You have two weeks to plan the retreat. The retreat must include a set of activities that will reinforce the importance of: teamwork avoiding groupthink effective communication = negotiation and conflict resolution The plan for the retreat must include: time-line for planning, the schedule for training activities during the retreat, and follow up activities to measure ongoing reinforcement objectives and intended learning for each activity (tie in the topics in the bullet list above, you will need to research activities that promote teamwork, avoiding groupthink, promoting effective communication and/or how to negotiate and address conflicts) a brief description of what each activity entails (be sure to provide several activities for a days worth of training during the retreat) points you will emphasize when you debrief each activity how you will measure if each activity has been successful periodic follow up activities you will use to reinforce and maintain the learning that has taken place during the retreat when everyone is back in the office
