Week 6 Written Assignment- Assessing Your Type Please click on the link above to submit this weeks assignment. Complete the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II (KTS II) and the Jung Typology Test (JTT). When taking both assessments, take your time - each assessment takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Dont over-analyze the questions. Answer with your first "gut" reaction. Answer the questions as honestly as you can. If you feel you are different at home than at work, answer the questions based on how you are in your professional life. Do NOT answer as you would like to be or how you would like to be perceived. REMEMBER: There are NO "right" or "wrong" answers and NO good or bad types. The KTS II and scoring guidelines can be found in Keirseys book, Please Understand Me II, pages 4-11. NOTE: There is an online version, but some students have reported delays in receiving their feedback when taking it. The JTT is available for free online at http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm. NOTE: The assessment is automatically scored, but you will need to print out or copy down your results - including your preference strength scores. If you have previously completed the MBTI and have your results including strength scores, you may use the MBTI instead of taking the JTT. Review your assessment results including your strength scores. NOTE: For this assignment, the term strength scores is being used to refer to both the points (i.e., number of survey items) associated with your preferences on the KTS II and the percentage scores associated with your preferences on the JTT. In addition to the online JTT feedback, see both Keirseys Please Understand Me II and Kroeger, Thuesen and Rutledges Type Talk at Work for descriptions of your type. After completing both assessments, write a paper that addresses the following: An introduction (e.g., 1 to 2 paragraphs) describing Type Theory, the two assessments you completed, and your results (including your strength scores). A summary for each of the 4 dichotomies, including: Definitions of the two elements (e.g., Extraversion and Introversion, Sensing and Intuition, Thinking and Feeling, Judging and Perceiving) that make up the dichotomy. Your thoughts on which label (e.g., E or I, S or N, T or F, J or P) in each of the 4 dichotomies fits you better and why. Your KTS II and JTT results (including strength scores). Discussion of any differences between the KTS II and JTT results as well as your own assessment of which label fits you better. Discussion of the implications of your strength scores for the dichotomy. A discussion of your Keirsey temperament (i.e., Artisan, Guardian, Idealist, or Rational) and how well the temperament description fits you. A discussion of your 4-letter type, including: A summary of the key characteristics of the type and why you feel the profile does or does not describe you. NOTE: If more than one 4-letter type was identified between the two assessments or based on your own assessment of which label fits you better, discuss the different profiles as well as which you believe describes you better. 5. A comparison between the two assessments you completed, including your reactions to the assessments themselves and the feedback you received.
