On 23 January Abel's wife became ill and he needed money to pay for her medical. On the same day, he placed an advertisement on "Buy and Sell Cars" - a WhatsApp Group saying "a hybrid car for sale - price $3,500. If interested please deposit the sum of $1,000 to the bank account of Abel at the Bank of Cargo by 12pm on Friday 26 January 2023 with the balance payable on settlement". The advertisement included a picture of the car. 

Ahmad saw the advert on the WhatsApp Group. At 9 am on Friday 26 January he deposits $1,000 into Abel's bank account. He immediately sends a text informing Abel that he will pay the balance of $2,500 on Monday 29 January and take the car.
