What are the elements of decision analysis, which element is the most difficult to complete, and why you do you think it is the most difficult?

Drawing from your individual experiences, how are decisions made in your work environment (or any group environment with which you are familiar)?

How is formal decision analysis used in your company (or a company you are familiar with)? For example, are decision criteria determined prior to the decision discussion? Is it acceptable to make decisions "from the gut" or must you present clearly articulated arguments before a decision is considered?

Does your company (or a company you are familiar with) use the decision approaches used in "Decision Making under Uncertainty?"

If formal decision modeling is not used in your work environment, would it be helpful? Accepted? Understood? How difficult would it be to implement a program of formal modeling at your workplace?
