What comments will you leave on this document The purpose of this memo is to inform you of a mistake made by John Anderson in the order processing division on September 21. The error led to an incorrect order being shipped, and the steps we're taking to resolve it. John Anderson entered the wrong product quantities for a major client's order, which caused the shipment of incorrect items to be delivered to a client. This cost the company $1,500 in extra shipping and 5 hours of lost production. Our employees have been fulfilling almost double the orders since last month, and everyone has been working faster to make sure orders are getting out as scheduled. As management, we didn't catch the error in time, so we shared responsibility. A part of our job is to check in on our employees to ensure all work is fulfilled at the highest standard. We have already contacted the client to apologize and let them know their new shipment is on the way. Fulfilling this order twice has doubled the cost of this order.
