What do you think about this post? Should the process identified actually be considered a "process"? That is, does it meet the definition of "a set of specified steps to accomplish a task"? Why or why not?
Do the functional requirements listed support the selected process?
Are the functional requirements clearly stated such that system testers will be able to ascertain whether or not the requirement has been implemented?
Provide an example of a rewritten functional requirement that improves one of the existing user requirements in the information provided above.
"I work part time at a restaurant that also does deliveries. I would like to see some improvements made to the process so that customers can be informed when their orders are being delivered. With this, the customers will not have to wait to worry when their order is going to arrive because as time goes by, I know that they will get worried or frustrated. Furthermore, as I work at the front, I will receive calls on end asking when their orders are going to arrive. While each customer's concerns are important, there is a chance a notification system might reduce complaints and increase customer satisfaction.
The customer's information is already in the system so with the improved one, the system should send out a notification to customers through email or text when the driver types the customer's order number or scans a barcode before they leave. Within that, the system should calculate the estimated time of arrival. This can inform customers and reduce their anxiety. Unexpected technical errors could occur but accuracy with tracking becomes an important part because miscommunications and incorrect notifications can cause problems and confusions. During delivery unexpected problems could occur and having emergency alerts sent to customers for when something unexpected happens while delivering or to the customers and they want to cancel their delivery would be beneficial for both sides. The systems should send out messages after delivery is completed. Having real-time updates can help both customers and restaurants so they can monitor the progress and meet customer expectations."
