Have they influenced or informed any decision making in your work environment? Do you see any potential for applying SPC or the Six Sigma quality goal in your organization? If you do not see any current potential for applying any of these methods/concepts in your workplace, research the use of one of them at other companies. Search for descriptions of applications of SPC, for example, on ABI/INFORM Complete (www.lib.msu.edu) using the advanced search capability and the keyword statistical process control. (You could also use additional keywords, such as supply chain management, operations management, purchasing, logistics, etc.) Describe one of the applications you have found.
