what is a reply to this discussion post: I suppose the builder-architect (BA, from now on for convenience) and the client-architect (CA) represent different approaches and perspectives on the development of a system, especially in terms of project ownership and the related tasks or responsibilities. From a high-level perspective, the BA may be more focused on the physical architecture of the system, the form(s) to which functions are allocated, while the CA may be more involved in the problem and concept definition of the system, focusing on mission aspects and the development process of the system as a whole. The stakeholders they refer to in terms of reporting and relationship may also be different; the BA may have more reporting duties towards internal, technical stakeholders like SEs, Project and Program Managers while the CA may feature a more institutional orientation, with relationships that may include external entities like governmental agencies. Decisions / Constraints Differences: The BA decisions may focus on technical, design, development and implementation of solutions to satisfy the existing set of requirements and needs. The CA makes decisions that are necessary to ensure that the system meets all the requirements and criteria set by the customer / client
