What should be my reply to the below post -
I completed the Week 2 Learning Activity of reviewing Ambari, Hive Database, and the HDFS files. This was my first time working with any of these systems. The dashboard reminded me of some Dynatrace, Splunk, or ServiceNow dashboards. This system had a lot of flexibility and interesting features to it. These tools could be very useful with the right data being streamed into them. Having an inquisitive and problem-solving mindset of a Data Scientist would make the large amounts of data and this system worthwhile. The navigation of it seems easy enough, but there is a lot to understand about this application, so I would say that is my one tough challenge.
As for the data itself it contains some good information regarding truck speeds and the driver of that truck. A question that could stem from this is what is the location of an overspeeding event or are there others that oversped in this area as well? This could lead to additional corrective action necessary to avoid accidents, tip-overs, etc. There is event codes related to event ids; this would be useful to move to a related reference table for data normalization, so that when copying large data amounts in less memory is used. A lot of information regarding the vehicle types and the gas they used or so it looked like. If you pair the information of where the gas is most expensive to the gas by month, re-routing might be possible to save money. Additionally, maybe better vehicle purchases to replace older vehicle models with higher mileage on them might save money in the long run by getting more efficient vehicles.
