Effective leaders are crucial to the success of implementing and sustaining a change. Leaders must encompass an array of skills that include empathy, ownership, adaptability and influence. Leaders should also understand and show that they believe in change that is happening. Employees will look to leaders for understanding of the change. These employees will then decide to support or resist change the leader is $$communicating$.$

$$The Four Is$$ describes that leaders should embody, intellectual simulation, idealized influence, individualized consideration and inspirational motivation. The four descriptors focuses on inspiring other, communicating the goals of the company, developing and motivating others Palmer et al$.,2022).$

Leaders should encompass further competencies to assist in facilitating change and leading others. Some of these competencies include the following:

Strategic Thinking: Understanding process, vision and overall readiness of company to help with change

Project Management: Planning, executing, recommending and managing change

Communication: Understands how to build relationships, can express empath and has excellent written and oral communication skills

Facilitation: Strong understanding of how to facilitate and lead meetings

Empowerment: Employee employees to allow for overall development and growth

Emotional Intelligence: Extend empathy and understand toward employee feelings, feedback and overall sentiment
