What suggestions do you have for improving $$A & B$\text{'}$s plan to demonstrate consideration of DEI and CSR$?$

A$)$ The makeup of my team will consist of employees from different stages of the marketing, sales, fulfillment, delivery, and follow$-$up stages of the Amazon process. The team will have employees of many different ethnicities, genders, ages, and communities.

Some CSR initiatives that align with my new service would be educational videos and booths at events sponsored by Amazon. Almost every person will need medications throughout their life, whether for surgery, the flu, or a chronic condition that needs long$-$term treatment. Educational videos about disposing of expired medication, offering resources, and$$even doing medication drop$-$off days for Amazon credit would be good ways to get medicines disposed of properly.

Amazon also has the AWS Health Equity Initiative which focuses on bringing health equity to marginalized underdeveloped communities. Amazon pledged to donate $$60$ million over $3$ years to this initiative $($AWS$,2024).$ The proposed idea to make medication more easily accessible to all communities should draw employees who are focused on supporting that initiative. They will also receive bonuses for helping to establish this process and offering their experience to help make it as efficient as possible. The processes that are established will need to be shared with fulfillment facilities around the country which means travel will also be offered to some of the team members to educate other employees.

B$)$ The corporate social responsibility initiatives my team will focus on are food donations, volunteerism, and supporting products that are made or grown in the USA. We will focus on these three things because they fit with Walmart$$s existing CSR and ESG programs. In FY$2023,$ Walmart donated more than $665$ million pounds of food in the USA, associates volunteered over $180,000$ hours via the Volunteerism Always Pays program, and almost $2/3$ of Walmart$$s $$total product spending was on items made, grown, or assembled in the United States $($Walmart$,2023).$ Because these are existing Walmart initiatives, they already have the support of our stakeholders.

I will attract people to my project team by looking for individuals who have a passion for volunteering, for improving health and wellbeing, and who are passionate about creating a cleaner environment by using fewer chemicals. Tools to develop and engage the team will include training and group projects. Rewards will include recognition for volunteering and monetary rewards for successful completion of group projects.
