there are many ethical guidelines that should be remembered when evaluating a program in criminal justice. One guidelines will be to ensure that everything is fair. The evaluator should evaluate the program and determine the effectiveness of the program without a biased mind towards the program. If there is a bias, there is a high chance that the evaluation will not be completed properly therefore, making it unfair. This guideline goes along with having integrity. Being truthful when completing the evaluation will ensure that it is fair and the evaluator will not have to deal with any punishment for not accurately recording the data. Another guideline that should be followed is understanding the rights of the individual or individuals that are participating in the program. Everyone should be treated with respect and no one should be treated any different because of who they are. Having a clear understand of the programs functions will be a great thing to know whenever going into a program to conduct a evaluation. With knowing about the functions, there will be a reduced chance that there will be any miscommunication on the evaluation for the program.
