What's Our Mission? Write a mission statement for the campus bookstore. A good mission statement says who you are, what you do, what you stand for, and why you do it. Mission statements are hard to write. It is easy to get too wordy. The best of them tell the story and ideals of the organization in 30 seconds or less. Three to five sentences should be sufficient.
