When developing a system, it is important to build in the security element from the beginning. When security is integrated from start to finish, the system has a greater chance of keeping the hackers out. Unfortunately, this cost money and requires knowledge of security, both of which are often in short supply. Security teams must ensure that new and updated systems meet the requirements identified to maintain a strong security posture before they are implemented on to the network.
