When I started this course, I did not know what to expect. I needed to gain more knowledge about Information Systems. Or what was the purpose of an information system? However, after this course, I have a good grasp. A good amount of ground was covered during these six weeks. The most exciting topic for me was The Basis of Business Intelligence; it was fascinating learning how companies use external data to their advantage. Before taking this course, I never realized that many businesses implemented this practice. However, not only do companies use this sort of public data to their advantage, but political campaigns do the same.

However, after taking this course, I need to decide what path I will take. I have always been interested in software development/programming, and after being exposed to new areas of CS, they have caught my attention. I expect to keep getting exposed to more areas of study which will help me decide on the career path I want to take. I want to get more exposure to existing programming languages, their applications/uses, pros, and cons, etc. As I progress at NLU, I know that courses will become more challenging, but I am up for the challenge. Overall, CSS 200 has helped me in many ways and given me more knowledge on topics I had never considered.
