When Randy was 18 years old, his mother gave him a gold watch for his birthday present.
Question:
When Randy was 18 years old, his mother gave him a gold watch for his birthday present. Randy kept the watch as a keepsake for over 40 years. When Randy turned 58 years old, he decided to get the watched refurbished. Randy took the watch to Billy Bob Laptop & TV Repair shop, because Randy had heard that Billy Bob knew how to repair watches. There was a sign on the door that stated that the Billy Bob store was a "certified watch sales and repair" location. Inside the Billy Bob Laptop repair shop, Randy only saw Laptops and TVs. Randy dd not see any watches for sale or on display. The clerk assured Randy that the store could repair the watch, so Randy left the watch for repair. He was told to return in one week to retrieve the watch.
When Randy returned to pick up the watch a week later, much to his dismay, he learned that the watch was not in the store. Randy was told that a customer had seen the watch on the back shelf where it had been placed after the repair waiting for Randy to return to pick it up. The customer inquired, and asked the sales person about the watch. The salesperson sold the watch to that customer. The customer's name was Luther Cross.
Randy was so upset and angry that he located Luther's phone number and called to demand that Luther return the watch. Luther replied that he was not willing to return the watch. Luther told Randy that Luther's cousin, Tina Marie, worked at the repair shop and had called him to let him know that there was a very nice watch that he could get for a cheap price. Luther said he paid $20 dollars for the watch, and has since had the watched appraised, and the watch is worth $15,000.00 dollars.
Randy wants to get his watch back from Luther.
