when splitting, in a decision tree, do you always calculate the information gain or do you only do it in the beginning? for example if i need to find out if I should play golf outside or not. i have to make a decision tree using 4 attributes (outlook, temp, humidity, and windy). after calulating the info gain i see that outlook has the highest info gain so I will use that to start my devision tree. to split the tree further I have to use the other 3 attributes. when selecting from those 3 attributes do i recalculate the info gain or can I randomly pick?
