When we write a document to recommend something, we probably need to include the following information:

1. The problem or need the recommendations addresses

2. Our recommendations

3. Support for our recommendations (based on research)

When you have this information, you can decide how to organize it in your document. What information should you put at the beginning? In the middle? At the end?

Subject: Ideas on maintaining employee morale during COVID

Hi Alison:

As you know, the COVID panademic has had a tremendous effect on our workplace. Most, but not all, employees are working from home, and this has created some extra stress and pressure on our employes. Our employees may be working longer hours, facing financial problems, adjusting to new safety protocols and struggling to balance family demands with work responsibilities. Although we have taken some steps to make our workplace safe, we need to also support our employees emotionally as much as possible.

Could you provide some ideas on how we can better do this. I am especially interested in what some other companies may be doing to better support their employees emotionally. We can use these initial ideas to start on a document that we can use going forward.

Many thanks,

Jason
