When writing, it is important, as a business and technical writer, to be able to arrange facts and ideas to serve your own purposes and to meet the needs of you audiences. Chapter 2 reviews successful organizational techniques and strategies that you can apply to you own writing. These strategies can be useful in any writing that you do, even outside this class.

• For each topic you select, you will assign it an organizational method- sequential, chronological, spatial, division and classification, decreasing order of importance, increasing order of importance, general to specific, specific to general, or comparison.
• You will give a clear explanation and reasoning as to why you selected the organization method. Do not just say "because". Use complete sentences and give examples of how each organizational method applies to the topic.
