While adapting to remote learning, everyone encountered a new set of challenges. For instructors at Cornell University, one of these challenges included students not turning on their cameras during synchronous class meetings held via videoconferencing. An instructor asked a random sample of 441 undergraduate students at Cornell University if they typically turn on their cameras during synchronous class meetings held via videoconferencing.
