While preparing his police officers for trial the prosecutor learns that police officers spoke with a witness who told a story consistent with the defendant's version of the facts. The prosecutor then learns that the police officer immediately discounted this story because it was inconsistent with other eye-witnesses. The prosecutor must:

a) Do nothing, the witness was obviously incorrect and therefore adds nothing to the case

b) Notify the Court of the issue and ask for the Courts advice

c) Notify the defendant's attorney of this information

d) Call in the new witness and investigate whether anything further needs to be done
