While searching for some ethical issues in recent times, I came across an analysis by Edward Segal, Senior Contributor, with Forbes. This analysis is regarding the financial obligations placed on Walmart after having an EEOC discrimination case specifically Gender and Race.

Ethical issues are paramount in ensuring that all individuals within an organization uphold the standard of equality and do what is right. This case arose from allegations that Walmart provided an unsafe and unsanitary environment for a person of color to lactate in a private space.

I encountered the phase where legal principles and constitutional rights were applied. The EEOC was determined to provide the victim with compensation for the damages incurred and ensure that appropriate consequences or fines were imposed for the clear act of discrimination. Upon being served, Walmart made statements regarding the serious allegations and addressed them in court.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission issued a press release on its government website concerning the Ottumwa store employee. On the press release, there was more background regarding the employee being a new mother, and this being a reason she was not considered for promotion although qualified - and never advised she would be leaving the organization.
