While the three main leadership styles do appear very different they also have some similarities as well. The similarities between the three is that they all are a type of leadership style that incorporate a presence of a leader and they have some level of influence and guidance. Also each leadership style does require the leader to communicate with he group members to some degree. The differences between the three different leadership styles are the mount of control and freedom the leaders give the followers. While the authoritarian has a lot of control with little freedom given to the followers the democratic leader has less control and gives more freedom to the followers and lastly the laissez-faire leder has very little control and gives the most freedom to its followers
