Why have databbase management systems such as Microsoft SQL$.$ and Oracle remained relevant for more than $40$ years when so many other technologies have changed?

There is still a basic need t$$ keep data organized and accessible.

Those systems are not compatible with newer data applications.

The total amount of data has not increased much over that time.

Companies cannot afford to change, away from their old systems.

I don't khow this yet.
