Within any organization there will be issues that need to be addressed to make the group run smoother and produce greater performance. One of those issues is the idea of employee empowerment, which deals with the idea that employees are unhappy and underappreciated in the workplace. Employee empowerment starts within the organization, but its effects can spread out to communities and society. About 32% of workers were found to be engaged with their work in a U.S study in 2022. This astonishingly small number shows that workers are feeling less seen and less listened to which is nothing but discouraging to those in the work force. The idea behind employee empowerment is reminding these discouraged workers that their work is valued, and that they as people are valued. While there are 17 sustainable development goals set in place with the aim to reach a more sustainable world by the year 2030, and two of these goals are very apparent to the issue of employee empowerment. Regarding this issue, SDG's number 3 "Good health and well-being" and number 8 "Decent work and economic growth" are of the greatest importance. Who needs to be engaged in action strategy, considering short and long-term strategy? What are the consequences of not acting?
