WORKING AT HEIGHTS RESCUE PLAN

INSTRUCTIONS

Your current manufacturing building is undergoing renovation and expansion while manufacturing is still ongoing. The outside of your older building will be given a $$face$-$lift$$ with many of the older stone facades, brick$-$work and decorative features being cleaned and repaired. This will be done using several swing$-$stages. One side of the building will also be prepared for a blow$-$out addition that will include a new storage area. Roof work and new HVAC systems will also be installed during this renovation.

To save money for this renovation, your company, will undertake the role of constructor on this project. A General Contractor has been hired to provide Labour, materials, and site supervision. As part of the agreement, you and your safety team must prepare a Working at Heights Rescue plan for the upcoming work.

Based on your knowledge of the Christmas Eve Matron disaster and your recent training on Working at Heights, prepare a presentation on the major elements of the rescue plan.

Your presentation must include elements such as:

Slide $1$: Introduction

Slide $2$ & $3$: What Training is required for all workplace parties?

$$ Describe the training in detail with examples.

Slide $4$: Describe the harness and lanyard the workers are required to use and explain why?

Slide $5$ & $6$: Describe in detail other elements $/$ tools$/$ machines$/$ you would use as part of your rescue plan and in detail explain your reasons why?
